Skill Level – Beginner Basics and Beyond

These patterns are recommended for beginner sewers and beyond who know the fundamentals of sewing and have access to a sewing machine. 

For those looking for resources and have never sewed before, we do not offer those resources currently but hope to in the future as we continue to grow. We are really excited for you to begin learning and hope you will consider following along on social media for inspiration and come back to us in the future when you are ready to begin your first hat project.

Materials

The beauty of hats is that they require a small amount – about ½ to 1 yard – of fabric to make. This means you can use fabrics you have, borrow from family and friends, repurpose beloved old items and materials, or buy new. Whenever possible, we love to support local and small businesses, but will link to some bigger stores as well so you can still get started even if you don’t have a local craft store nearby.
